Veneporte, committed to sustainability and the energy transition, has launched the VENEPORTE SOLAR project, marking an important milestone on its path toward decarbonizing operations. The project, which begins in January 2024 and concludes in October, is supported by the Support for the Decarbonization of Industry initiative (Modality B). Its main objective is to drive a significant shift in energy resource usage.
With a total investment of €420,000, Veneporte is installing a self-consumption production unit (UPAC) using photovoltaic solar technology with a capacity of 690.30 kWp. This installation will convert solar energy into electricity, reducing dependence on traditional energy sources and mitigating the high costs arising from the current geopolitical context in Europe.
Through this project, Veneporte is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and accelerating the transition to carbon-neutral business operations.
This investment aligns with the company's strategy to continue leading the sector with innovative solutions that meet environmental and energy efficiency standards, in line with global decarbonization targets.
