LKQ FOURCE visits Veneporte for presentation of new technologies and technical training

Between the 24th and 26th of September, Veneporte hosted a visit from LKQ Fource. This annual visit, organised with LKQ Fource, aimed to provide its clients with an in-depth insight into Veneporte's products and processes.

LKQ Fource is part of LKQ Europe, a leading distributor of automotive aftermarket parts for cars, commercial vans and industrial vehicles in Europe. LKQ Europe employs around 26,500 people across more than 18 countries, with a network of 900 branches. The group supplies approximately 100,000 independent workshops and is represented by brands such as LKQ Euro Car Parts, LKQ Benelux-France, LKQ RHIAG Group, LKQ Elit, LKQ CZ, LKQ DACH as well as recycling specialist, Atracco. LKQ is the largest shareholder in MEKO Group.

LKQ Fource, was acquired by LKQ Corporation in 2013 and has since established itself as a key player in the automotive market through various acquisitions in the Netherlands.

During the visit, the 26 participants, including members of LKQ Fource and some of their clients, had the opportunity to attend specialised technical training focused on the hot-end of exhaust systems, covering advanced technologies such as SCRs, LNTs, and PNAs. This training was essential in showcasing the technological solutions Veneporte has developed to address the challenges of the automotive industry.

The factory tour allowed the group to gain a detailed understanding of the newly installed equipment and the production process, highlighting Veneporte's commitment to innovation and operational excellence. The demonstration of production and technological capabilities reinforced the company's position as a leader in the exhaust systems market.

Participants also enjoyed cultural and leisure moments in some of Portugal's most iconic regions. The experience included a visit to the historic São João Cellars, where they enjoyed sparkling wine and red wine during lunch, as well as tours of the cities of Coimbra, Aveiro, and Porto. These social moments provided a relaxed atmosphere, further strengthening the relationships between Veneporte and its partners.

"Visits from partners like LKQ Fource are crucial for our international growth and for aligning strategically with market demands. These moments of training and sharing are key to consolidating our position in the sector," said Abílio Cardoso, CEO of Veneporte.
